Successfully Breeding Purebred-Poodles Is No Accident

To be successful you need a wealth of knowledge and the ability to research the breed in depth. When we are looking for fur babies to add to the Poodle Central Kennel line, we are looking all over the world and settle only for the very best of genetically sound dogs. To achieve a purebred poodle line you must have pure unadulterated breeding stock.

We achieve this end by genetically testing all our breeding Poodles. We commission the testing at the Equine Parentage and Animal Genetics Service Center in Massey University in Palmerston North. Their world-leading Geneticists work closely with us to ensure our breeding animals are both healthy and pure of the breed.

We guarantee our breeding stock and by default our progeny to be free of  genetic issues including but not limited to:

  • Dog Genetic Breed Identification test
  • Genotype-DNA profile
  • PRA PRCD
  • vWD1
  • Degenerative Myelopathy

We carry out color testing to ensure we have a purity of colors and coats.
